their sexuality simultaneously experiencing feelings of ambivalence
regarding their identities’ '
These are sexual minorities ‘youth especially who are expressing difficulties in constructing a positive sexual orientation identity in the context of highly structured cultural, religion and societal forces that give privilege to heterosexuality, these ambivalence and inconsistency are comfort of one’s identity that serves yet as another source of distress among LGBT adolescents. These findings highlight the challenges that LGBT youth to mention are facing in maintaining resiliency while having difficulties to actively counter hetero-normative pressures and oppression .
